Bartvertrag
🧔 Website to maintain the beard growing tradition of the Technikum Winterthur during the COVID-19 pandemic 2020
Bartvertrag is a web application developed to maintain the tradition of the Technikum Winterthur, called Frackwoche, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The application allows students to sign a digital contract to grow a beard during their bachelor thesis according to the tradition. The website has a user-friendly interface that allows students to sign the contract and upload a photo of their beard every day, which is then displayed on the website for everyone to see. At the end of the tradition, a facial recognition algorithm is used to create a time-lapse video of the growth of the beard using OpenCV with face tracking. The application also includes an administration interface to manage contracts and photos, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all participants.

ATC Voice Recognition
✈️ Voice recognition system for air traffic control 2019
This project is a continuation of a previous bachelor thesis, which examined various automatic speech recognition services for their performance in relation to radio messages. The aim of this project is to determine to what extent the Speech-To-Text service of Microsoft, called Custom Speech, can be improved. Furthermore, the Microsoft service, called Language Understanding (LUIS), and the Regex Markup Language (RML) software are compared to each other regarding the extraction of the data required for further processing and to inspect the context of the existing Air Traffic Control (ATC) radio messages. The results show potential for further application of automatic speech recognition in the ATC environment. Nevertheless, the Speech-To-Text model needs further improvement before this system can work reliably.
